IDCDigital is a division of IDC that creates a personalized Digital Distribution and Management experience for labels, artists, filmmakers and other media content providers.
Our goal is not to build the largest catalog in the world, but rather to foster and nurture relationships with our clients in order to provide the maximum amount of revenue in hand with quality and efficient service. In addition, we want our clients to learn and understand as many aspects about the digital distribution process as possible for both music and video.
Utilizing the tools and technologies created by various companies, IDCDigital provides an unparalleled service through which independent artists can develop their presence in an increasingly digital music universe.
Our company is setup as a D3 distributor (we distribute for labels) on the IODA aggregation platform, which we have been working with since shortly after IODA opened their doors in 2003. Through this relationship, we have built a strong network and team that is able to support and market new titles and releases.
We also have our own digital distribution channels set up outside of our IODA channel. This includes but is not limited to our own digital storefront, specialized distribution in Asia, special video distribution and direct connect accounts to services.
Founded in 2003, IODA has built a catalog of nearly two million tracks that is licensed to more than 400 digital storefronts worldwide. IODA's catalog represents a diverse range of music from over 50 countries, including rock, electronic, hip-hop, metal, punk, indie, world, latin, jazz and classical. IODA's retail partner network includes all major digital music services like iTunes®, Amazon MP3 and MySpace Music and mobile carriers and outlets such as Verizon Wireless, Sprint and Nokia.
We also have our own digital distribution channels set up outside of our IODA relationship. These include, but are not limited to, our own digital storefront, specialized distribution in Asia, special video distribution, and directly connecting accounts to services.
IDCDigital's core strength is our developed marketing relationships with digital music services and distribution outlets. These include digital stores such as iTunes, Internet radio such as Pandora, satellite radio such as XM/Sirius radio, and film distribution services such as Amazon VOD.
Our philosophy is business-to-business (B2B), as these are the relationships that many labels and artists do not have the bandwidth or resources to develop. Many labels and artists already have business-to-consumer (B2C) covered with social media marketing and other technologies allowing them to connect with their fans (if you are an artist who does not have these promotional opportunities in place, please see what IDC can do for you under our Representation tab). Getting a placement on a digital service or a marketing campaign with IDCDigital will propel your branding and digital footprint to a new level.

Kurt Andrew, founder of IDCDigital, began his career in the Internet music business in 1998, ironically at Internet music business mixers only a few doors down from IDCDigital's current headquarters. In January of 1999, Kurt officially started his own boutique Internet music label, Chameleon Music. In 2006, Chameleon Music joined forces with Independent Distribution Collective's (IDC) physical distribution model and IDCDigital was born.
As IDCDigital's team consists of musicians, producers, songwriters, engineers, selectors, DJ's and honest music business professionals, we are dedicated to the success and growth of our client's independent careers. Since Internet and music crossed paths in the mid-to-late 90's and the advent of Liquid Audio and MP3.com, D.I.Y. has become a common and effective way to maintain a successful independent career.
