Artist, Label, or Business Consultation
With the modern ability to successfully create and sell content as an independent label or artist, many need help when it comes to planning and building their business or career. There are more opportunities to connect directly with fans available to independents than ever before, and as such it is difficult to autonomously create and implement the best strategies to reach these fans and grow into a successful independent business.
IDC President and Founder Steffen Franz is a longtime Artist Manager who also teaches music business and basic business building for up-and-coming artists and labels. Together with additional music industry professionals on the IDC Team, we offer A La Carte consultation services to help develop a comprehensive knowledge of the music industry.
Clients fill out a simple questionnaire that details all aspects of their career, including established goals and plans for the future. Once completed, this questionnaire will allow IDC management consultants to better understand the label or artist's current status and how best to get their career on track. This service includes phone consultations or in-person meetings if the artist can reach San Francisco. Tangible assets will be provided, including marketing plans and strategies, contact lists, and various important forms and documents relating to career planning and business structures.
